Welcome to the Steps Dance Center Company Auditions! The Steps Dance Company is an award-winning competitive performance company comprised of students who are passionate about dance and want to share their love of performance. Company members receive pre-professional training with our faculty and guest choreographers, and are taught values such as team work, responsibility, commitment, and discipline that our students can use outside of the classroom.
We will be holding a Company Info meeting on Monday, June 10th from 6:00-7:00pm at Steps Dance Center to discuss our company options and the audition process!
NEW THIS YEAR!
Steps Dance Crew: The Steps Dance Crew offers a lower commitment for dancers who love performing and want to be a part of a team. This is a great option for dancers who are new to the company experience! We will offer crews for ages 3-18. The Steps Dance Crew will compete twice during the year and perform at local events. Preschool through 5th grade dancers should attend the Jazz Company auditions scheduled for their age group on June 13th. Dancers ages 6th & up should attend the Crew Auditions on June 13th from 10:00-11:15AM.
Steps Dance Team: The Steps Dance Team is a new opportunity for high school dancers that will accommodate the schedules and regulations of high school dance and cheer teams. Dancers who would like to be considered for our Steps Dance Team should attend the Jazz Company Auditions on June 13th from 7:30-9:00pm.
AUDITION DATES:
Auditions will be held at the following days and times. Please attend the audition for the grade that your dancer will be entering in Fall 2024.
Hip Hop Auditions - June 12th
- K-2nd 2:00-3:00pm
- 3rd-5th 3:00-4:15pm
- 6th-8th 5:00-6:30pm
- 9th & Up 7:00-8:30pm
Tap Auditions - June 12th
- 7th & Up 3:00-4:30pm
- 1st-3rd 5:00-6:00pm
- 4th-6th 6:45-8:15pm
Steps Dance Crew Auditions - June 13th
- 10:00-11:15 AM Grades 6th & Up
Jazz Company Auditions - June 13th
- 12:00-1:00 PM: Preschool & Pre-K
- 1:30-2:45 PM: K-2nd
- 3:15-4:45 PM: 3rd-5th
- 5:30-7:00 PM:6th-8th
- 7:30-9:00 PM: 9th & Up (Dancers who wish to be considered for the Steps Dance Team should attend this audition)
