A perfect first step into the world of dance. Our combo classes introduce ages 2–5 to the basics of tap and ballet through music, movement games, and imagination.
Dance Exploration is designed for your dancer's very first experience with dance — no prior experience needed, just a love of music and movement. Our combo format introduces the fundamentals of both tap and ballet in a fun, age-appropriate environment.
Through creative exercises, songs, and simple technique, young dancers build the coordination, rhythm, and confidence that set the stage for every dance style to come. Students perform in our Holiday Show and present two routines in the end-of-year recital — the perfect chance to shine on stage from their very first season.

Our youngest dancers explore movement, music, and simple ballet and tap concepts through play. Parents welcome to peek through our viewing windows.

Building on the fundamentals with slightly longer classes. Students begin recognizing basic ballet positions and tap sounds while continuing to build confidence and coordination.

Structured combo classes for our most experienced Explorers. Dancers work on more refined ballet vocabulary and tap technique in preparation for age-specific style classes.

Our Dance Exploration program welcomes dancers as young as age 2. Classes are grouped by age — Age 2, Age 3, and Ages 4–5 — so your dancer is always with peers at a similar developmental stage. Not sure which class fits? Our front desk team can help you decide before you register.
None at all. Dance Exploration is specifically designed as a first-ever dance experience. Most of our Explorers have never taken a class before, and our faculty are experts at making that first day feel safe, welcoming, and fun.
That's completely normal — and we plan for it. Our Dance Exploration teachers gently invite each child in at their own pace. Some children join right in, others prefer to watch for the first few classes. Both are welcome. Parents are able to watch through our one-way viewing windows so your child knows you're right there.
Dance Exploration students wear a leotard, tights or leggings, ballet shoes, and tap shoes.
Hair should be pulled back to keep it out of the face during class.

Yes! Dance Exploration students perform in our winter Holiday Show and present two routines in the end-of-year recital at Neuqua Valley High School. Performing gives even our youngest dancers a real sense of accomplishment — and gives your family something truly special to celebrate.
Once your dancer is 5 or 6, they can move into specific style classes — Jazz & Hip Hop, Bitty Ballet, Tiny Tappers, Hip Hop & Tumble, and more. The foundation built in Dance Exploration makes that transition natural, and our faculty will help guide your family toward the right next step.
