Kidz Jazz & Hip Hop Classes in Aurora, IL

Jazz is more technique-focused — turns, jumps, kicks, and clean lines set to upbeat music. It builds the foundational athleticism that shows up across almost every dance style. Hip hop is more groove-focused — isolations, footwork, and finding your own personal style set to current music. Our combo class gives dancers a taste of both in one energetic session.

We offer Kidz Jazz & Hip Hop starting at age 2 and continuing through elementary school. Each age tier is matched to developmentally appropriate movement, music, and class length — so wherever your child is, there's a class that fits.

Not at all. Kidz Jazz & Hip Hop is designed as a first-time dance experience for many of our students. Our instructors are experienced at welcoming total beginners alongside dancers who've been with us for a while.

Standalone Jazz and Hip Hop classes become available in 1st grade and up — they go deeper into one style with more technique focus. Kidz Jazz & Hip Hop is the combo introduction that gives younger dancers (or newer dancers) a well-rounded taste of both. Many dancers start with the combo and then specialize later.

Yes! Kidz Jazz & Hip Hop students perform in our winter Holiday Show and present a routine in our end-of-year recital at Neuqua Valley High School. Seeing your dancer perform choreography they've been working on all season is a highlight of the year.

Once your dancer is in 4th grade, they'll move into standalone Jazz, Hip Hop, or Hip Hop & Breakdance classes — all of which build directly on the combo foundation. The dancers who come up through Kidz Jazz & Hip Hop tend to transition smoothly into technique-focused specialization.
